The 2013 Flight Stakes will take place under set weight conditions and is open to fillies aged three-years-old only.

Scheduled to run as part of Epsom Handicap Day, the race shares its program with the Group 1 Epsom Handicap, Group 1 The Metropolitan, Group 2 Premiere Stakes, Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes, Group 3 Craven Plate, Listed Dulcify Quality Handicap, Listed Breeders’ Plate and Listed Gimcrack Stakes.

Arabian Gold is being aimed at a run in the 2013 Flight Stakes in the hope of scoring some Black Type.

The three-year-old has never before run in a Group or Listed race, however, she proved her ability with an impressive win at Royal Randwick in an $85,000 Handicap last start.

Trainer David Vandyke is hopeful she can step up in time for the 2013 Flight Stakes.

Prior to that race, she will have one more run in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes at Royal Randwick Racecourse on September 21, 2013.

“She will have an ease-up now and come back for the 1400-metre race two weeks before the Flight Stakes,” Vandyke said.

“She is a very promising filly.”
